What we can handle here.

We're pharmacists, not a clinic — so this is the focused set of women's health needs we can assess and treat ourselves, no doctor's appointment required. For anything beyond it, the referral network above is how we get you to the right person.

Our promise

Care that respects your time, your body, and your story.

You'll be heard.

Every visit starts with you talking and us listening — no clipboard, no rushing. We've blocked the time on purpose.

You'll be informed.

You'll leave knowing what we found, what your options are, and what we'd do in your shoes — in plain language.

You'll be in charge.

The plan is yours. We're here to give you the information and the prescription — the choice is always yours to make.

From our patients

What it feels like to be heard.

A handful of recent notes from people who've come through the Women's Health consult room.

★★★★★

I'd been told my perimenopause symptoms were “just stress” for two years. Nelo took 45 minutes, walked me through HRT options, and I left with a real plan. Wish I'd come sooner.

★★★★★

I had a UTI on a Friday afternoon, no family doctor, no walk-in slots anywhere. I called Opal, was seen in an hour, and had an antibiotic in my hand 20 minutes later.

I switched my pill three times before someone actually explained the trade-offs. Nelo drew it on paper. I finally understand what I'm taking and why.

Good to know

Where a pharmacist fits in.

Honest answers about what we can and can't do — and how we get you to the right place either way.

What can a pharmacist actually prescribe — and what can't you?

Within our scope we can assess and prescribe for a defined list — uncomplicated UTIs and yeast infections, mild-to-moderate acne, contraception and emergency contraception, and renewals of many existing prescriptions. Anything that needs a physical exam, imaging, lab work-up, or specialist care is outside our scope. That's exactly what our referral network is for, and we'll point you to the right person.

Do I need a referral or a family doctor to book?

No. You can book any Women's Health consult with us directly — no referral, no family doctor required. Ontario lets trained pharmacists assess and prescribe for the conditions above.

Is the first 15-minute consult really free?

Yes. It's a no-pressure way to come in, ask a question, and see if we're the right fit. If you go ahead with a longer assessment or prescription, standard fees apply — UTI and yeast assessments are covered by OHIP, and many others by your extended-health plan.

Where do consultations happen?

In our private consultation room at the back of the pharmacy — fully enclosed and away from the dispensing counter.

I'm not sure you're the right place to start. Can you still help?

Almost always — even if it's just pointing you toward the right practitioner. Come in or book a free consult; if it's beyond what we can do, we'll tell you straight away and help you get to someone who can.

When you're ready, we're ready.

Most weeks we have same-week availability. If you'd rather phone or pop in, we love that too — but the form to the right is the fastest way to lock in a time.
